Your wedding day is about the two of you! It's about your friends, your family and most importantly it's about you having one of the best days of your life. This is exactly what I focus on too. This is why my approach is journalistic and documentary in style. I want to capture you, your friends, and your family as they are and tell your story as it is.

So you've browsed the site and you've liked what you've seen. From here I would like to learn a little about the two of you and what your ideal wedding day looks like. Let's meet for a coffee or set up a zoom call so we can get to know each other. Chemistry is an important thing to have with your photographer. This meeting will ensure us both that we are a perfect match for each other.

The big day has finally arrived and I want you to enjoy it to the fullest. Because I come from a photojournalism background, I photograph your wedding day as it unfolds naturally without interference. This allows you to enjoy the magic of your wedding day and to focus on what's important- all the good times with your family and friends. When the time is right I will provide you with a little direction but the rest is just you being you.

I aim to wow you with a couple “sneak peeks” within a few days of your wedding. But as they say the best things in life come to those who wait. My creative commitment to you extends well beyond your wedding day. It generally takes me about 6 to 8 weeks to finish your images and prepare your web gallery. If you decide to get an album there will be some additional wait time for album production as well.

01.

What is your style?

As a creative, storytelling photographer, I aim to artfully record and present the authentic story of your day. By using a hands off documentary approach this allows you to truly experience the magic of your wedding day. I do that by unobtrusively capturing candid moments as they happen, without directing or intervening. This inconspicuous approach helps me capture the natural magic of your day, revealing the true essence and character of yourselves, your guests and your experience. When the time is right, I will also take a more active role in offering direction in ways that don't feel awkward or posed.

02.

How many images will we receive?

My goal is to tell your story… fully, completely and beautifully. In doing so, I emphasize quality over quantity. I would rather give you a few hundred amazing photographs, than a couple thousand “so-so” ones. That being said my couples usually receive 400 to 800 images, depending on the length and nature of their celebration.

When will we see our photographs?

My fiance is uncomfortable having his picture taken. How can you help him on the wedding day?

I aim to wow you with a couple “sneak peeks” within a few days of your wedding. I take great care in making sure all your edited photographs will look stunning for years to come, and completion takes anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks (depending on time of year). When your collection is complete, your online gallery will be made available for you to share with all your friends and family.

I'm a very calm, mellow person who tends to blend into the scene rather than bring attention to myself or my cameras. That, combined with the documentary style, will put you at ease within the first half-hour of your getting ready time. The only time you’ll really be aware of the cameras is during the family group photos and creative portraits. During this time, I will guide you through everything so you can just be yourselves while I take care of the rest. In addition, I make it a point to talk with each of you, and even your parents if possible, before your wedding day so we can get to know each other. The goal is to be good buddies (not strangers) when the big day is finally here.

05.

What do you do if we have an outdoor venue and it rains?

I easily adapt to any situation and find that most venues will offer you a back-up "rain plan" with an indoor location. If you are happy and in love, that will show in your photos. Your personalities and your chemistry is whats important, not the background you’re standing in front of. I see rain as a fun, adventurous twist that usually brings joy, laughter and spontaneity. It's sure to bring unforgettable moments and almost always makes for some amazing photographs.

06.

Will you travel to photograph our wedding?

Yes, absolutely! I love to travel and am happy to photograph your wedding anywhere near or far. Wether in Nantucket or an amazing destination of your choice, you can count on me to be there, ready, and with camera in hand. If you've read my about page then you know I'm an avid traveler and will never shy away from a new adventure.

07.

Should I give you a shot list?

I always love a list of family group photos so I don’t miss anyone important, and please tell me if there’s something unique about your wedding I might not be aware of. But for all the normal photographs any bride or groom would expect, we’ve got you covered.

08.

How do we hire you?

Easy, just contact me and we’ll arrange an opportunity for you and I to get to know each other a little bit. This will ensure that we’re a perfect match. If you're not in the area we can always schedule a video or phone call. It only takes about ten minutes, and will ensure you that you are indeed hiring the right photographer.
